I made this jacket in my Flat Pattern class, my junior year of college (spring 2017). I made the pattern and constructed the garment. This jacket was inspired by a superhero known as "The Black Canary", a badass lady that kicks major butt. It was constructed from a faux leather vinyl. The Jacket is fully lined, with pockets. From this project, I learned a lot about diamond quilting, creating collar patterns, and generally, how to sew pleather, which was a challenge. I intended to add a zipper, but in the end, I couldn't get it to fit into the design, because it would cut off one of the pockets.
